2023-2024
Music Club and Dance Club celebrated a great cultural feast - Sangeetha Mela and Nrithya Mela on 06.04.2024 at our school premises. Sri.N.R. Narendranath, Joint Secretary, VES and the Correspondent of our school welcomed the gathering. In his address, he reminisced the commencement of Sangeetha Mela and Nrithya Mela in order to bring out the talents of the students. The chief guests were Kalaivalarmani Dr. D. Sowmya, M.Dance, M.Phil, TTC, Ph.D, Founder & Director of Nrithya Nithyalaya Academy of Dance and Natya Kalamani Kum.S.S. Bharathy, M.S.W, HR, Lucas TVS Ltd, Alumna of Dr.NKVV(2018 Batch). The students of music club made the audience spell bound with Bharathiyar song, song on Shiva, Ambastavam, Western, Folk songs and Thillana where as the students of dance club captivated the onlookers by their elegant and scintillating performance for patriotic song, semi classical and Siva thandavam. Both the chief guests appreciated the students for their dedication and exemplary performance.
2022-2023
Sangeetha Mela – Music programme was organized in our school premises on 21.01.2023. Chromepet Shri.G.Suresh, Percussionist, Disciple of Sangeetha Acharya, Kumbakonam Sri. M.Rajappa Iyer and Sri K.Ranganathan, Alumnus, Dr. NKVV., Korattur, B-Grade artist, All India Radio were the chief guests. Nadhopasana - Musical treat was given by the Vidyalaya students on that day. Folk dance and classical dance were also exhibited by the students.
2020-2021
“Sangeetha Mela” Live stream Music Programme was held on 13.03.2021. Sri. R. Ravindran, Joint Secretary Presided over the function. Smt. Padmavathi Ravindran, Dr. M. Veerachamy, Academic Director, Smt. Prema Mahadevan & Smt. Anuradha, Education Officers, Smt. Lalitha, Principal, Panjetty unit and Smt. S. Dhanalakshmi, Incharge, Pazhaverkadu unit graced the occasion. Around 5000 people have witnessed this live programme. Students rendered song on the Ragas Hamsadhwani and Mohanam. Performance by 70 student participants was quite professional and melodious.
2019-2020
Sangeetha Mela – Music programme was organized in our school premises on 23.11.2019. Around 60 students took part in this programme. This year Ananda Bhairavi ragam was taken and students gave variety of programme like Keerthanai, Krithi, Folk song, Fusion etc. Our child schools Panchetty unit and Pazhaverkadu unit students also gave their performance. Smt. Kamala Ramanathan & Kum. R.Sahana were the Chief guests. Sri. R. Ravindran, Joint Secretary, VES & Shantha Shyam, Principal In-charge of Velappanchavadi unit graced the occasion. Rajapuraskar certificates were distributed to Scouts and Guides students on this occasion.
